Formed to establish new or support existing music departments in less privileged schools.

The Harmony Kenya Foundation is a Trust whose main objective is to establish or support already established music departments in Government schools. After teaching music in both private and government schools for over 25 years, Mr. Moses Watatua, the founder of this trust, has become more and more concerned about the disparity in the availability and disparity of quality music education in Kenya b

The Grade 9 students at Kariobangi South Comprehensive School & their Head Teacher Ms. Pamela Mang’oli receiving a donation of two keyboards from Harmony Kenya Foundation.

The keyboards were donated to the foundation by well wishers and the students as well as the teachers were very happy to receive these keyboards. These will aid in classroom studies as well as various performances within and outside the school.

We appreciate the continued support from all our donors and well wishers. If you wish to learn more about how you can support us, check out our highlights!

Happy New Year!

We’re thrilled to be back and truly grateful for your continued support. Today, we officially resumed our tutoring sessions, starting off at Nairobi School!

Our tutors worked with the students in different sections and later joined them during Band Practice.

Special thanks to our dedicated volunteer tutors for sharing their time, skills, and passion to inspire these young minds. We’re looking forward to an exciting and impactful year ahead!

Last week we accompanied Westlands School students to watch the Premiere of Impure - Film. that we connected the students through our Harmony Kenya Foundation projects. Where 13 girls from Westlands school sang part of my soundtrack for the movie. The recording of the vocals took place at Kasangas studio coordinated by Ibrahim Sidede the music supervisor, Rico Herre, film director and Maria Gichu trained the girls vocally.

Impure is a film that advocates for the eradication of period shame and poverty and is based on a true story.

During the premiere of Impure the students got to meet Janet Mbugua founder of Inua Dada that is pushing for menstrual equity and raising awareness on the challenges so many girls face in the country.

We would like to thank Collins Bulliva, head of music at Westlands school, parents of the students who took part, and the whole team part of Impure for involving the Westlands school students in this wonderful project.

Check out Impure - Film page for screening details.
