The International Resource Network in Africa (IRN-Africa) aims to link people and organizations with Africa and the Diaspora doing research (both academic and community based) in areas related to gender and sexuality in Africa. We promote international communication and exchange through scholarships to expand knowledge building, foster comparative and collaborative projects among researchers, advance curricular and course development, and widen the availability of scholarly resources. One of the key objectives of the IRN is to enhance access to information and knowledge material, people and debates that deal with LGBTQI issues to disseminate global analysis and regional and national processes of research and activism
