Here are some things you should consider before you start the US DV LOTTERY 2024 application process. Number 3 will excite you. Clock is ticking people….Apply Apply You are welcome!
1. You don’t need anyone to apply for you. You can do this if you are diligent enough. However, if you need help, I am happy to assist for a fee. Please email [email protected]
2. This year, a passport is not mandatory - You do not need one at this point of application.
3. To increase your chances of winning, if you're married, you and your spouse can each make an application – Yaaay!.
Atleast have a High School Diploma / Certificate
4. There is no age limit
5. If someone applies for you, please make sure you retain the reference number as you will need it to check the results in May 2023.
6. Digital picture specifications are the ones that make applications fail most of the time: The passport photo should be:
Square Photo (2×2 or 600×600 pixels) on white background
no glasses / no earrings /Ears must be fully visible /A small nose stud that doesn't alter your appearance is fine.
7. If you are separated and have full custody of your kids (if any) apply as separated.
8. If separated and not divorced, please include your spouse even if you won’t tag them along. This is so in case you have kids and shared custody. If you had kids with the spouse, and their name is on the kids’ birth certificate, travel consent will be required to travel with them to the US.
9. Single parents can apply. If the father's name appears in the birth certificate, have custody or consent to travel with kids.
10. Include all your children, step children, adopted children under 21 in your application. If they're 18 and above and at least out of high school, they can also do their own application.
11. You cannot include your siblings or your siblings' children in your application. Unless you have legally adopted them.
12. Do not lie in your application otherwise you will be caught with a misrepresentation and your application will be rejected if you win.
13. Please ensure you put in only one application per person to avoid being caught with fraud.
14. If you do win, you will need a host in the US. They need to be people who can agree to share their information. Otherwise, you will be disqualified. Be proactive and reach out to reliable people who will commit to host you before May 2023 😁.

INTERVIEW TIPS

What do you tell them when they ask you "tell us about yourself"

When they ask this, they are not asking about your biography or your education, they have that in the CV, they can read it.
They are asking what are you bringing to the table? What value are you bringing to the company?
This you can explain what you will bring as a result of the skills and knowledge you have gained from previous working experiences and trainings and education.

As you explain yourself, remain true and honest and everything you say, tie it to "what is in for them". It should not be all about you.

Three things you can use when explaining yourself

1)Success- e.g you can tell them " I have been working as a *** for this***period of time and I have helped in building or achieving**** and this can help in building ***".
2)Strength- e.g "my real strength is my ability to ****and this can help me do this and that***".
3)Situation - e.g "what I am looking for is a company where I could add value to. Where I could join a strong team. Is this what you are looking for?

Another tricky question is when they ask " How much do you expect as a salary?

NEVER give a number.
You might underprice or overprice.
Ranges too are not good.
You can give them an answer like- " compensation is important but I would like to get to know the entire value of working in your company. What I get to do and all other things that go along with working at your company and I could have an idea and a better estimate.
