We offer diploma and certificate courses in IT, Business, Accounting, Sales and Marketing, Human Resource Management, Film, communication and mass media, community health and development, and Foreign Languages. Kings College was established to address skill development needs for unemployed youth in Kenya. An estimated 60% of the Kenyan population is under the age of 35. The unemployment rate is approximately 40%. An estimated 64% of the unemployed Kenyans are youth . Kings College addresses the challenge of youth unemployment by helping them develop professional skills that will help the youth penetrate the job market or get into gainful self-employment. Business literacy helps young people to envision ways of getting out of poverty; do something to help themselves and their communities; and eventually ensure sustainable economic self-reliance. . Since it opened its doors in January 2012, Kings College has trained over 100 youth in information technology, accounting, business studies and foreign languages. Kings aims to be is a comprehensive college that interweaves the main elements of a Private Community college with an unusually strong public service mission. Many words have been used to describe the nature of such an institution as a whole: complex, creative, entrepreneurial, eminent, and engaged; a fountainhead of creativity and innovation.
