Schools are places of learning, safety, and hope, and it is heartbreaking to witness such a devastating tragedy affecting students, families, educators, and the wider school community.
We extend our heartfelt condolences to the families who have lost their loved ones and stand in solidarity with the Utumishi Girls community during this incredibly difficult time.

Technology alone is not the solution. The real question is: ๐ฏ๐๐ ๐๐๐ ๐ฌ๐
That was the core message at the 3rd Annual Educational Assessment Symposium hosted by The The Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) and Educational Assessment Resource Centre (EARC) and it's exactly what drives ๐๐๐๐๐๐ค๐ฌ ๐๐ฎ ๐ฟ๐๐๐ฃ๐๐ฉ๐๐จ, our EdTech solution for teacher professional development and learning outcomes.
We explored how LeadNow can help:
โ Teachers design more meaningful, learner-centered assessments
โ Continuous professional development connect directly to classroom practice
โ Data and evidence inform both policy and implementation
The conversations also surfaced critical sector questions:
๐กHow do we continuously up skill teachers for a changing world?
๐กHow do we ensure EdTech aligns with government priorities and classroom realities?
๐กAnd how do we move from innovation to evidence-based impact at scale?
As Kenya strengthens its position as a leader in digital innovation, one thing is clear โ supporting teachers to confidently adopt technology is foundational to improving learning outcomes.

Behind every child showing up, learning, growing, and dreaming, thereโs often a mother carrying so much to make it possible.
Today, we celebrate that care, sacrifice, and love.
Happy Motherโs Day from Dignitas.

Improving learning outcomes requires a system that is aligned, responsive, and working together.
Last week, this came to life as we joined partners across the ๐๐๐ข๐๐ ๐๐ซ๐จ๐ ๐ซ๐๐ฆ๐ฆ๐ for a 3-day ๐ฅ๐๐๐ ๐๐ณ๐ฟ๐ถ๐ฐ๐ฎ convening, bringing together government and education actors advancing life skills and values-based education. The ALiVE Programme focuses on ensuring children gain the skills and values they need to thrive in school, work, and life.
As an implementing partner, our work in Isiolo focuses on supporting teachers through training and coaching to integrate these skills into everyday teaching and learning.
But strong classroom practice is just the starting point. For this work to last and reach more learners, it needs to be supported across the system through:
โ๏ธ Alignment across education actors
โ๏ธ Use of evidence to inform decisions
โ๏ธ Coordination between policy, schools, and communities
โ๏ธ Sustained system-level support
This is what it takes to move from strong teaching in individual classrooms to lasting impact for all learners.
