GBV is mainly understood as Sexual Harrassment despite existence of other forms of GBV! We got no records/data of GBV cases and progress to justice in most counties. All these, at the Situation Analysis dissemination meeting for the 03plus UNESCO funded project.

Advocacy messaging must involve community engagement to understand current gaps and, strengthen community ownership and involvement. Best skill here is listening and seeking clarity on localized messaging, channels and the key missing persons in the discussion.

Data collection methodology is key, when gathering data from an all inclusive audience with policy makers, partners and community representatives. Methodologies that encourage round table discussions as opposed to presentations, and giving community representatives more hearing serves well. A bottom up approach to reinforce equitable decision making😊
