Our History

Jawabu School was founded in April 30 2012 out of a need to establish an institution that would offer high quality and internationally recognized education that would be affordable to Kenyans. The founders were looking for an alternative system of education from the government system 8.4.4, but they found them to be either too expensive or not very comprehensive. Five founding Princi

ples

The founders therefore set out to start a school that would would have the following academic goals:

1. A school that would provide educational opportunities that will meet the unique academic, social and emotional needs of all students.
2. A school where all students will achieve academic success by providing relevant interventions for the students who are challenged.
3. A school where students will engage in activities that promote higher level thinking skills and develop gifts for real world application.
4. A school with adequate facilities and staff that will motivate students to reach their potential and become successful contributing members of the society.
5. A school that will help children grow up loving Christ passionately and serving each other sacrificially. Our Curriculum

For Preschool to Middle School classes (3-11 yrs):
We will use resources from educational publishers in USA, UK and Kenya for the purposes of building a good foundation in pre-school readiness, arithmetic, reading, writing and critical thinking skills. For Junior High – High School students:
In pursuit of high quality education, Jawabu acknowledges the need for students graduating with authentic qualifications from credible examining bodies. Junior High – High School students will follow syllabuses defined by Cambridge Examination Board (UK) to prepare them for the Primary Checkpoint Exams, Cambridge IGCSE and Cambridge Advanced International Certificate Education (AICE) Diploma at A Level stage. Our Commitment

Acknowledging that God has endowed every child with gifts and abilities to be able to imagine, think and create, Jawabu School will labor to nurture these abilities in students at all levels with hands on activities, skills of playing classical instruments and a rich home reading program.
