ONE DAY ALL WILL BE WELL
i was sitting on a bench after lunch with my friend, and next to us was a lady who looked sad but composed. she was smart and carrying an envelope. my friend was telling me a part of her past and this is just a part of it.
"..........it was not easy at all, graduating with a diploma in business from campus and finding a wild world, company after company and they all were saying no vacancies, i tried media houses, manufacturing companies, hospitals, training institutes, churches, but nothing was forthcoming"......."six months and to make the matters worse i was staying with a friend who was starting to get impatience with me,"
" then one morning i went to a security firm. i didn't carry my certificate because i thought i was overqualified to be a guard. I was recruited as a day guard here in Nairobi, opening gates, security checks, directing visitors and chasing away street boys.......".
"But one morning i talked to my fellow colleagues and was shocked to listen to their qualifications, one with degree in statistics, one with HND in engineering, one with financial accounting, one with CPAK. And all guarding with me....."
"..realizing i was not the only one gave me hope that so long as i keep trying all will be well one day" 'there has to be a starting point"
"...and look at me now i drive , i have my own house and i would say God has really Blessed me" "it has been long but with patience, determination and Gods grace i have overcome"
As we left the bench the lady who was sitting next to us said "Hey, excuse me, Thanks for your encouragement"
