Persistence Vs. Desperation: There is a thin line between the two. Persistence is the ability to prevail over adversity while holding onto hope, while desperation is a state of hopelessness and surrender. Persistence makes you endure challenges without compromising your values. On the other hand, desperation can make you act irrationally, recklessly, immorally, and even illegally. Persistence is an attractive personality trait to have.
How to Become Persistent
1. Narrow down your focus on what you would like to accomplish and develop an action plan.
2. Always keep a positive mental attitude.
3. Have a support group to motivate, cheer, correct, and even criticize you.
4. Capitalize on the momentum. Once you get something going, do not stop until accomplished.
5. If something isn't working, change the strategy without changing the goal.
6. Always remain optimistic. Keep on trying over and over again and never give up.
7. Celebrate small winnings and reward yourself.

6 Dimensions of Wealth
1. Social/Relational/Status Wealth: This concerns the valuable connections you have built with people who matter the most in your life, i.e., family members, close friends, neighbours, and workmates.
2. Spiritual Wealth: This involves your faith's values, beliefs, and principles that guide and direct you to your life's vision and goals.
3. Experiential Wealth: Regards your life's experiences that have shaped who you are today.
4. Health Wealth: Your health is your wealth and covers healthy eating, exercising, rest, sufficient sleep, emotional stability, and peace of mind.
5. Time Wealth: This involves spending quality time doing what you love most. The more time you spend on these things, the wealthier you become.
6. Financial Health: Includes your net worth, assets, and liabilities. Money is just a means, and if appropriately used, it can enrich the other 5 dimensions of wealth.

When are you buying a plot/house? When are you getting married? When are you planning to have kids? When are you building your home? We experience such nagging questions from family members, friends, workers, and even strangers each day. They expect us to live according to their expectations, but this mindset is wrong. We all have different dreams and aspirations and what we need is support from them and not questionings. Some people's dream homes are simple houses full of peace, love, and joy and not mansions with spiraling staircases, grand entrances, and grandeur furnishing. Some people desire simple cars to move them from point A to B and not luxurious fuel guzzlers. Others own and operate small businesses and don't have plans to grow big. So, when people tell you that they have chosen different paths in their lives far from your expectations, please respect that and support them. Live your life and let others live theirs too. If the destinations are different, so are our journeys.

Problem-solving: You know your problems better than any other person. You clearly understand their sources and the pain they have caused you. And so, when it comes to solutions, you know what will resolve them better than any other person. Other people might come to your help, but they can only do so when they see your effort and dedication in solving your problems. Here is an easy method:
1: Start by defining the problem in its simplest terms
2: Generate possible solutions
3. Select the best solution
4. Apply the solution

Being Flexible and Adaptable: I have seen trees growing from cracks on the rocks, concrete, and even roads. Amazingly, they seem to be doing great, just like the trees growing in their ideal environments, e.g., forests. But how? The trees have learned to adapt to their environment by working with the available resources. It's not about what they lack in their environment, but it's all about working with what is readily available. Likewise, we need this kind of mindset to adapt to our environment by being flexible to utilize the available resources.

Many people have great dreams, but along the way, they give up not because they can't reach them but because they have rigid plans and strict timelines to get there. But life is not a straight line. Don't be too hard on yourself. Be flexible in your plans, take detours and rests, and keep your eyes on the prize.

Servant Leadership: “It shall not be so among you. But whoever would be great among you must be your servant..” (Matthew 20:26). Jesus uttered these words to His disciples. He even washed their feet as a sign of humility and exemplified Servant Leadership.
