KAPUNE JUNIOR SCHOOL

Official Communication to Parents & Guardians

Good morning everyone,

We are pleased to note that the day has begun well, with all activities running smoothly.

As schools prepare to reopen, we encourage all students to dedicate themselves to their studies—taking time to review and understand areas they may have previously found challenging.

The next academic session is scheduled to begin at the end of April 2026. All students are kindly required to clear their lunch fees in advance to support the school feeding programme, as agreed upon during the Annual General Meeting (AGM).

This programme plays a vital role in ensuring that learning continues smoothly and efficiently, without unnecessary interruptions. We sincerely appreciate the collective efforts and cooperation that have brought us this far.

We also encourage parents and guardians to continue guiding and supporting their children during this holiday period—offering proper care, advice, and mentorship to help them grow into responsible individuals and achieve their future goals.
Thank you, and may God bless you all.

Proverbs 22:6 (NIV)
“Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it.”

Raising Children with Strong Values: A Message to Parents

Children do not only learn from what we tell them — they learn from what we do. As parents and guardians, we play the most important role in shaping the character, discipline, and values of our children.

Here are simple ways parents can nurture good morals at home:

1. Be a Role Model to Children copy behavior. When parents show respect, honesty, patience, and kindness, children naturally learn to practice the same.

2. Teach them Respect
Teach children to respect elders, teachers, and their fellow students. Respectful children grow into responsible members of society.

3. Communicate OpenlyCreate time to listen to your children. When children feel heard and understood, they are more likely to follow guidance and make better choices.

4. Set Clear Rules and BoundariesChildren need guidance. Clear expectations help them understand what is right and what is wrong.

5. Encourage ResponsibilityGive children small responsibilities at home and school. This helps them grow into accountable and disciplined individuals.

6. Correct with Love, Not AngerDiscipline should teach, not hurt. Explain mistakes calmly and guide children on how to do better next time.

7. Work Together with TeachersParents and teachers are partners in raising responsible children. Regular communication with the school strengthens a child’s development.

8. Teach Values that Last a LifetimeHonesty, humility, kindness, and hard work will help children succeed not only in school, but in life.

Let us work together as parents, teachers, and the community to raise a generation that is respectful, responsible, and morally upright.

A child well guided today becomes a responsible leader tomorrow.
