AISA is a collaborative learning organisation dedicated to leading and supporting strategic thinking, professional learning and school effectiveness.

Founded in 1969, AISA represents the interests of international schools on the continent of Africa. AISA has a membership of schools which range in size from 20 to 3600 students. Strongly influenced by their location and cosmopolitan student enrolment all our member schools and organizations have an international focus. Through our programmes and services AISA provides for the varying needs of nearly 42,000 students and over 2,500 teachers and administrators. In partnership with our Associate Members, comprised of businesses, school-to-school partners, organizations, universities, and individuals from throughout the world, the Association serves as a support organization for international schools in 34 countries throughout sub-Saharan Africa.

From 𝗡𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟱 𝘁𝗼 𝟴, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 𝗶𝗻 𝗡𝗮𝗶𝗿𝗼𝗯𝗶, 𝗞𝗲𝗻𝘆𝗮, 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗔𝗜𝗦𝗔 𝗔𝗻𝗻𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 will bring educators and leaders together under the theme 𝗪𝗲𝘇𝗲𝘀𝗵𝗮: 𝗘𝗺𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲𝗹𝘃𝗲𝘀, 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀, 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀. The conference is designed as a space where ideas spark, connections deepen, and new possibilities emerge for schools across Africa and beyond.

Our centerpiece keynote speaker, 𝗞𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗲 𝗡𝗼𝘃𝗮𝗸, brings deep expertise in Universal Design for Learning, MTSS, and inclusive practices. Novak Education describes her as founder and chief education officer, a former teacher, curriculum coordinator, and assistant superintendent, as well as an instructor at the University of Pennsylvania and author of 16 books.

We are excited to open the conference with 𝗔𝗻𝘁𝗵𝗼𝗻𝘆 𝗠𝘂𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗺𝗮𝗱, an author and international thought leader known for his work on school culture and Professional Learning Communities at Work. With nearly 20 years of experience as a teacher, assistant principal, and principal, his work speaks directly to schools looking to strengthen culture, collaboration, and improvement from within.

This is a keynote that promises both relevance and practical insight for educators and leaders across our community.
