Institute of Certified Cosmetologists (ICC) is a Centre of excellence (CoE) within the Association of Cosmetologists Kenya (ACK) with the purpose of providing leadership through advancing organizational goals by providing expertise, guidance and oversight in specific areas purposely to disseminate the knowledge within the organization.
It consolidates the knowledge, skills and resources of the organization within the field of Beauty and cosmetics with the purpose of achieving strategic goals. Therefore, it is a specialized unit within the Association that focuses on a specific area of expertise like providing:

7. Proficiency tests

The best part of the institute is the provision of a Certificate of Eligibility (CE) which is a credential with lifetime validity issued to persons who have completed a training program of academic study and the applicable test requirements for certification. The CoE permits the applicant to seek and accept employment in positions requiring. Certification demonstrates your commitment to superior professionalism, upholding the industry standards and continued learning. These merits can help boost your professional credibility and prestige within your own network, with your current clients and when pursuing new business opportunities or bidding on projects.

The Institute also develops the training curricula, study materials and approves the program trainers while our partner institutions do the actual implementation of the curricula. A well vast professional training programs in different academic levels is the key in the institute. This covers all the subsectors within the beauty industry from Manufacturing, personal grooming centres, training and trade. We have expanded ourselves to the holistic beauty industry courses from certificate, diploma, higher diploma and even the associate degree. This is a new game changer.
