IMPROVING THE BABY'S SUCKLE
The baby learns to suckle properly by nursing and by getting milk into his mouth.
The baby's suckle may be made ineffective or not appropriate for breastfeeding by the early use of artificial ni***es or from poor latching on from the beginning.
Some babies just seem to take their time developing an effective suckle. Suck training and/or finger feeding may help.
It's important to be patient while you and your newborn learn the dynamics of breastfeeding. You and your baby should be able to enjoy breastfeeding

HOW OFTEN SHOULD I FEED MY BABY?
Baby should be fed when he/she shows signs of hunger
Your baby can breastfeed as often as he/she wants, but at least 8-12 times in 24hours which is every 1-3 hours
Baby should be left to nurse as long as he is actively suckling and swallowing

MAKE BREASTFEEDING A SPECIAL MOMENT
Your baby is sensitive to how you feel and will react to your mood. A comfortable chair, music, a glass of fruit juice or milk will help you relax. The proper positioning of the baby to the breast and the correct sitting position for the mother will improve comfort and help avoid backache
