Feeling overwhelmed by your research paper writing? A former Daystar MA student wrote the following as she was in the throes of completing her MA thesis:
THESIS PSALM 23: For All Postgraduate Thesis Students
The Lord is my main supervisor,
I shall not delay.
He makes me stay up, with extra energy,
To finish my chapter one.
He leads me beside the right literature for me to review;
He guides me in paths to complete my chapter two.
For His name’s sake, for graduation’s sake,
Even though I walk with cluttered ideas in my mind,
I will fear no memory loss,
For you are with me. Even as I start chapter three,
Your provision of a computer, and your time,
They comfort me.
You prepare a proposal defense table before me,
In the presence of my learned friends;
You anoint my head with extra knowledge,
For advancement of communication theories.
My chapter four overflows.
Surely peaceful nights and brighter days
Will follow me
All the days of my thesis writing,
And I will dwell in the house of postgraduate studies
Until I graduate…
But for the honor and glory of His name,
I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
