INNOVATION AS DRIVER FOR ENTREPRENEURSHIP.

MANY people open shops which buy and sell goods and call themselves entrepreneurs. This is a fallacy. They are simply traders.

To explain what I mean, look at the kerosene stove below.

Many people could have used this stove and if asked what fault they may have encountered, they will give you so many valid complaints.

A trader just buys the stove and sells it. He doesn't have to care about the shortcomings. An entrepreneur will list down the faults and address them through redesigned product.

I don't know what you noticed. I, the writer of this piece, noticed three distinct faults.

1. The gears fails sooner before the stove gets old and forces the user to have alternative ways to put it off. If the alternative way is to use water to put off, the inner cavity ages faster.

2. The wicks in the market are thinner than the channels meant to hold them. With that, the stove uses more kerosene unnecessarily through evaporation after it has been put off.

3. Poor workmanship. The hole through which you recharge kerosene often fails. It is smaller and weaker for most cooking pots. Which prompted some entrepreneurs put up a fabrication to address the stability.

Now, entrepreneurs study such faults and addresses it through redesigning the product and give out something that is superior.
