Witness Oteu Ian Wisdom’s departure from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport as he journeys from Trans Nzoia County, Kenya, to Virginia Commonwealth University in the United States to pursue a Master of Science in Engineering with a concentration in Aerospace Engineering.

Ian previously studied aeronautical engineering in China and went on to work at Jambojet. He now looks forward to gaining new insights into the aviation industry, broadening his experience, and preparing for the next stage of his career.

Ian discovered the International Scholars Program in 2022 and kept his study abroad dream alive while building his career in aviation. When he found a program that fit his ambitions, he was ready to take the next step toward his future in the industry.

As he says goodbye to loved ones at JKIA, Ian feels calm and excited about the journey ahead. He is grateful for the support he has received and ready to embrace this new opportunity.
