This must be the toughest time for any parent and their child!

Remember - it will be ok.

Separation anxiety is real, and it is important that you acknowledge it with an aim of making it easier for both.

The school environment is new to the child. S/he will be unhappy in this new environment. You too as a parent will be anxious. The teachers have the task to make it as lovely and lively as possible - so that we all settle faster.

Working together will help everyone.

First things first:
- talk to your child about the event i.e. new place, new people and answer all their questions
- at drop off, assure them of your return, seal it with your love language and excuse yourself.
- make sure you keep you promise to be back for them. That is their assurance.

It is difficult, but it will pass. Sending out our best wishes to all starting out in school today for the first time.
