Prof. Reed brought to the conversation a unique perspective borne of 23+ years in higher education, including the last 14 as the deputy Vice-Chancellor of Academics and Student Affairs at Africa Nazarene University! His historical account of the state of higher education from a global and Kenyan viewpoint was a treasure trove of lessons from the bold strides and missteps we've made along the way.

His recommendations, ten in all, include one that’s part of the DNA of ANU: educating the whole person. Stay tuned as we serialize over the next 2 weeks some of the gems we found in his compelling submission!

Africa Nazarene University's latest research collaboration, the DigiGrad Africa Project comprises a consortium of eight African universities joining forces with four European universities to enhance research quality and output of postgraduate students and young researchers in Africa by facilitating knowledge exchange, leveraging digital technologies and global partnerships.

It was a great platform for insights into the practical and theoretical aspects of academic research and publishing, and specifics about presenting at ANUREC2024, including general etiquette and protocols.

FDI Moot, the premier 𝗶𝗻𝘃𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿-𝘀𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗽𝘂𝘁𝗲 𝘀𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗹𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗺𝗼𝗼𝘁 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗲𝘁𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 attracts the participation of Law Schools across the globe each year. It kicks off with national rounds, then the regionals, and culminates with the global rounds.

At the All Africa Regionals held 23rd – 25th August 2024, Grace Zawadi Walioli emerged the ‘Best Advocate of the Final Round’, besides being crowned together with her team-mate, ‘FDI Moot African Champions for 2024’. Amazing feat! Grace holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from Africa Nazarene University and is presently enrolled in the Kenya School of Law’s Advocates Training Program! The two now advance to the competition’s global rounds set for 1st – 4th November 2024 in Berlin! Congratulations and all the best to the team!
