Article 26, Right to education:1) You have the right to go to go to school. Primary schooling should be free and required. You should be able to learn a profession or continue your stud- ies as far as you can.2) At school, you should be able to develop all your talents and learn to respect others, whatever their race, religion or nationality.3) Your parents should have a say in the kind of education you receive.

From the principal 08/02/2017

To all our friends worldwide,
I am Sarah Nyaga, the principal of St. Sylvia Education Centre in Mathare slum. We wish to inform you about our school.
We deal with vulnerable orphans and HIV/AIDS. The core objective of the organisation is counselling, house bases care, providing material and moral support to HIV/AIDS infected in the area. The group mobilizes resources from among the members and other well-wishers to feed the infected/affected, orphans and vulnerable children.
The main challenge we are facing is unfinished building which burnt down to ashes, food, stationaries and financial to cater for the caregivers.
Our main goal is to lay and intellectual development of OVC's (Orphans Vulnerable Children) that will enable them to positively interact with their environment and reduce poverty as well as their vulnerability to HIV/AIDS.
We would wish to request for any support.
