EAMUN - East African Model United Nations

EAMUN - East African Model United Nations The 43nd session of the East African Model United Nations will be held at the United Nations Office

Both the MSMUN and the EAMUN are simulated sessions of the General Assembly, Security Council, Ecology and Environment, Economic, Health, Human Rights, Political and committees in which students represent the delegates from member countries. Both programs have continued to grow and evolve over the years into extremely successful conferences that provide tremendous learning opportunities to all students taking part in them. Student involvement continues to include students from the Nairobi area, from other areas around Kenya and from other countries. Tremendous support for both the MSMUN and EAMUN programs is offered by the people at the UN headquarters in Gigiri, Kenya. With the efforts of UNON, along with the financial independence that both programs have built in recent years, the programs should continue to grow and move in a positive direction to give the young people involved the best experience they can get from an MUN conference. Model United Nations began around the world as early as 1923, with simulated sessions of what was then called the League of Nations. These sessions are now held in numerous countries at all levels, ranging from high schools to universities and adult MUN sessions.
