A report card can tell you about a learner’s grade and academic achievement. But it cannot tell you about the moment a learner finally understood something they had struggled with, the confidence they found in speaking up, or the small changes a teacher notices long before they appear on paper.

Our Academic Clinic gave parents and teachers the time to talk about those things, to look beyond the numbers, celebrate progress, acknowledge the challenges, and understand what each learner needs next.

Because behind every result is a learner still growing, a teacher paying attention, and a parent who wants to see their child thrive.

Thank you to our parents and teachers for showing up, asking questions and being part of the academic clinic. When school and home work together, every conversation about progress can become a step towards better learning.

Our Grade 7 learners wrapped up this year's educational trips with an exciting visit to Kariandusi and Menengai, where they explored the mining of diatomite, gained insights on its many uses, ventured into the diatomite caves, and learned about the formation of the Great Rift Valley from the breathtaking Menengai Crater. As we look back, from Playgroup to Grade 9, our learners have shared unforgettable adventures with their teachers and friends, learning, laughing, exploring, and creating memories that will last a lifetime. At Pharo School Nairobi, every journey is another step in learning beyond the classroom.

Our Grade 9 learners had an exciting opportunity to take learning beyond the classroom by connecting what they learn in school to real-life experiences during an educational trip to Sagana and Mwea.

In Sagana, they explored fish farming, learned about different fish species, the role of aquaculture in supporting Kenya's economy and ecosystem, and put their science lessons into practice through a fish dissection session.

The learning continued in Mwea, where they explored different irrigation methods and toured rice processing mills, gaining a firsthand understanding of the journey of rice from the farm to our tables.

The day also provided time to relax, with swimming, shared meals, plenty of moments that strengthened friendships.

At Pharo School, we believe the best learning happens through hands-on opportunities like these. We are nurturing confident, globally minded learners who are equipped to excel, lead, and make a meaningful impact in the world.

As we approach end of term 2 we look back at one special highlight, Pharo Sports Day - Upper Primary & JSS Edition.

The day was everything we love about our school, learners giving it their all, friends cheering each other on, teachers joining in, and our amazing parents getting right into the action too. From cheering on the sidelines to competing in the games, everyone came ready to have fun, make memories and enjoy every moment. ❤️

It was a day filled with energy, excitement and unforgettable moments, a beautiful reminder that learning extends far beyond the classroom. And who knows? Somewhere among these young stars could be Kenya’s next Eliud Kipchoge or Faith Kipyegon. ✨

At Pharo, we believe school should be a place where children learn, play, discover their talents, build friendships and simply enjoy being learners. Because when learning is this much fun, every day becomes an opportunity to grow, shine and create memories that last. 💙

Our Grade 9 learners toured Mlango Farm in Limuru for an enriching agricultural excursion, where they explored sustainable farming practices through hands-on learning. They discovered the benefits of crop rotation and observed first-hand how hydroponic farming and biogas production work. They also learnt how organic manure and compost enrich the soil naturally, and how farmers use environmentally friendly methods to manage crops while promoting healthy food production. 🌿🚜

The visit gave learners a unique opportunity to connect classroom concepts with real-world agricultural practices, interact with experts, ask questions, and gain a deeper appreciation of the role agriculture plays in food security, innovation, and environmental stewardship.

At Pharo School Nairobi, Beyond the Classroom Excellence is more than a promise, it's how we inspire curiosity, nurture practical skills and prepare learners to become knowledgeable, innovative, and responsible global citizens. 🌱✨

From assembling components to programming the system, every step strengthened their critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving skills. At Pharo School Nairobi, we provide meaningful learning experiences that prepare our learners with the knowledge and future-ready skills to excel beyond the classroom.

Our Grade 8 learners had an exciting day of learning, exploration, and fun as they set out on an educational trip filled with unforgettable experiences.

At Olkaria Geothermal Power Plant, they saw firsthand how electricity is generated using the Earth's natural heat. It was a great opportunity to connect what they have been learning in Science and Geography with real-life applications, making classroom lessons more meaningful and memorable.

The adventure continued at the beautiful Lake Naivasha, where learners experienced the beauty of one of Kenya's largest freshwater lakes while learning about its rich wildlife, ecosystem, and the importance of protecting our environment.

The highlight for many was the hike through Hell's Gate National Park, where they enjoyed the stunning scenery and visited the famous locations that inspired Disney's The Lion King. It was an exciting reminder of the beauty and uniqueness of Kenya's natural landscapes.

The trip was not only about learning—it was also about building friendships. From sharing meals and stories to enjoying every moment together, our learners created memories and strengthened bonds that will stay with them for years to come.

What a wonderful day of learning, adventure, and lasting memories beyond the classroom. 💚📚
