The current education affairs.

The ongoing debate on whether to scrap CBC or not,what are your thoughts??

Actually,public schools do not have a clear platform for communication amongst the learners,teachers and the parents.

Too much work without play/break is too dangerous.

Let's befriend our learners as teachers,let's not scare the children away from us parents.
Discipline must also be instilled accordingly.

THE KABABA/MTOTO WANGU GENERATION THAT HAS BEEN BROUGHT UP WITHOUT DISCIPLINE.

The "kababa" generation is fully grown up now and they were never taught how to take "NO" for an answer. Always got what they wanted.

This is the same group that was burning down schools, now they are out in the world slaughtering each other in the name of love, yet love is kind, love is patient and keeps no record of wrong.

The "Kababa generation" has gone through schooling with no punishment. "Piga mtoto wangu utaniona", is what we hear in parent-teachers meetings and in the estates neighbour to neighbour quarrels.

It is the generation that the girl child is more empowered than the boy child, yet we expect them to compete at the same levels.

Boys are teaching themselves how to become men instead of being taught by responsible men what it means to be a real man.

The mums never let them interact with the dad or uncles or male relatives because "walikosana na baba", or had beef with in-laws or feel the uncles are too hard on her "kababa", my munchkin, my king, my babe, my love, my man in the house and all those fancy false titles.

This is the generation where they throw tantrums and cry for the remote control "mpe mtoto remote awatch cartoon* no news since the 'kababa' is watching BenTen.

Visitors can go watch Television at their place anyway. "Kaa kwa hio kiti ingine hio ni ya "kababa". He/she controls everything in the house🤔

Electronics are what parents are using to make their children calm. To cover for their short comings in parenting or allow them "work" and make money.

What happened to the old ways of bringing up children? How were we brought up ourselves? Were we not loved by our parents when they were deemed hard on us?

Where did we throw the teaching from the Holy Book; Spare the rod; Spoil the child?

*He that spareth his rod hateth his son: but he that loveth him chasteneth him betimes.

It is only in this generation where a father has no moral obligation of punishing their son in fear of breaking a "relationship (utafanya watoto wakuogope ukishinda ukiwasomea or kuwapiga) is the common statement.

Kababa jumps on all pews in the church making noise and all the parent does is watch and you expect to control him when in school.

Kadady fears no visitors and virtually shouts and troubles when parents are discussing issues with visitors and you expect a responsible listening person in future.

Kababa insults anybody out there and when reported all a parent says is "ni mtoto"..

What we plant is what we harvest.

A good seed is well prepared and it yields good harvest.

The education sector....
The current students' unrests in schools is not only caused by disrespectful learners, let's think beyond the box. These learners are exhausted,no much rests as they used to have,the government itself suspended corporal punishment from schools.

The students are now teachers- they are the bosses who are allowed to call teachers whichever names they want to. Teachers have become criminals and animals in the face of the society,our kids control everything.

The learners are okay to air their own grievances as too much learning is harmful to their psychological health. The teachers are also fatigued,but they will never be considered.

The CS Education should find a good solution to this situation because all our schools will get burnt,and the government must also prepare funds to build more prisons...and finally, parents take part in your work of instilling discipline in your children.

Any views?? How do we stop our children from burning down the schools?? And what do you think the causes of this hazard is?

Family factors,is one of the major challenges affecting public schools in Kenya....what do you see around your community concerning this in relation to the current pandemic,the covid-19?
It is quite unfortunate that 70% of students in our rural areas aren't able to access online education as there are many factors associated to that.
Its the big question to the government.

The economy has deteriorated, more than 120 private schools closed due to bankruptcy and other obvious reasons.
What actions are being taken by the government to revive our economy,yet the schools were also a source of living to many able citizens of this country.
This situation is very cryptical and needs a heavy thinking capacity... What are your views concerning the issue economy in respect to education and the lives of the affected employees and employers?

Education is the key,I guess you were told the same thing as I was told. Do you still believe it is? Share your views concerning current educational system in Kenya. As a Physical Educator. The late Pierre Nkurunziza,the Burundi president, was also teaching Physical Education. Also,give the reasons why P.E teachers have been looked down upon for such a long time yet they are very brilliant and outstanding.
