Zetech University is the new and proud😊 member of the Regional Universities Forum for Capacity Building (RUFORUM Network), a significant milestone in its international outreach across the continent.

Zetech University was admitted to the network at the 2nd RUFORUM Triennial Conference at the University of Namibia (UNAM) in Windhoek, , represented by the Vice-Chancellor.

RUFORUM, established in 2004 by a group of ten Vice Chancellors, is a prominent consortium of universities dedicated to building capacities in agritech research and extensions in the institutions across Africa. Other RUFORUM’s activities include; networking and coordination among member institutions, resourcing, advocacy, capacity building and community development, resonating strongly with Zetech University’s values.

Zetech University had the honour of hosting a delegation from John Von Neumann University , .

The visiting scholars, Prof. Dr. Judit Olah, Head of the Doctoral School, and Prof. Dr. Jozsef Popp, an expert in International Relations from the same institution, met with Zetech University’s Vice Chancellor, Prof. Njenga Munene.

The meeting explored the possibility of an MoU📝 aiming at a partnership between the two institutions that will create the framework for various collaborative activities, including:

Zetech University was the latest stop for the Microsoft Africa Development Center Campus Tour on September 3rd, 2024. The event connected students with global tech experts, emphasising Microsoft's commitment to nurturing tech talent from the classroom. Key speakers included Joe Dadzie, VP of Product Management at Microsoft, Catherine Muraga, MD of Microsoft ADC, and Irene Githinji, Education Engagement lead at Microsoft ADC. The tour highlighted the university's strong focus on technology, showcasing successful student projects, and areas from which the students in tech courses may benefit. Zetech continues to drive tech innovation through strategic collaborations with industry leaders like Microsoft.

Zetech University hosted TikTok’s campaign, in partnership with Eveminet Communication Solutions Limited, to promote digital safety among the youth. The event brought together the KENYA SCOUTS ASSOCIATION and high school students from across Kiambu County for an engaging session on online safety.

📱 TikTok's commitment to a safer online community was evident as attendees learned about content control mechanisms, data protection, and responsible content creation. We’re proud 🎉 to be part of this nationwide ongoing initiative by TikTok, empowering the next generation of digital citizens.
