A favourite moment from last term- our 4K Club farmers, seed to sale!

Before we broke for the holidays, the Shani 4K Club rolled up their sleeves one more time to reap their beautiful harvest and even ran their own little market on sports day, selling their healthy harvest to parents! 🥬🥕

Rewind to sports day; the one day of the term where “it’s just for fun”, doesn’t apply!

Our students, their siblings, parents and some teachers all lined up ready to compete. Fast legs, loud cheers and at least one parent who definitely trained for this (especially the cheering squad dance, can you spot them? 🤭)

This is Shani School at its most competitive, and most fun way to end the second term.

Down on the farm!

Before we broke for the holidays, our PP2 learners spent the day at the Archdiocesan Farm in Limuru- meeting animals, getting hands on and discovering where their food comes from.
The perfect adventure for out little learners in the nature, feeding their curiosity and hands on lessons that are best learnt outside the classroom walls.

Our grade 4-6 learners spent last Friday at the Kenya Meteorogical Department, seeing first hand how the science they’ve been studying actually works.

Weather isn’t just a topic in the textbook; it’s measured, tracked and predicted using real instruments. The students got up close with the tools meteorologists use everyday, from rain gauges to weather balloons, commecting classroom concepts to the equipment behind the forecast.

This is what practical, hands on learning looks like at Shani School and we’re proud of our learners soaking it all in and asking great questions!

Saturday afternoons are made for good food and good company! 🍽️💛

This past Saturday, we welcomed our Shani mothers for a cookery session filled with laughter, learning, and delicious aromas. Together, they whipped up baked potatoes, glazed pork chops, and chicken wings with a fresh vegetable salad, before sitting down to enjoy the meal (and a well-deserved cup of tea ☕) together.

Beyond the kitchen, these forums are really about connection because they give our parents a space to unwind, share stories, and build the kind of community that makes Shani feel like family.

Our learnerd from grade 1-3 headed out on a school trip to the Kenya Railways Museum last Friday, swapping their classrooms for hands on discovery.

Their curious questions and wide eyed wonder beyond the walls of school was great to witness.

We love watching the students explore, ask and grow because the best lessons often happen outside the classroom too!
