A stop by the waterfalls offers children a chance to connect with nature and appreciate the importance of protecting forest ecosystems

Nature becomes the classroom as children descend the forest stairs to explore the caves, waterfalls, and riverine ecosystem. Through KFEET's environmental education programs, they learn how forests protect water sources, support biodiversity, and why conservation matters for future generations.

A day of learning and fun in nature!

We were delighted to host pupils from Ngunyumu Primary School for an exciting forest experience filled with conservation learning, a guided forest walk, interactive activities, and games.

A big thank you to for making this memorable experience possible and helping inspire the next generation of environmental champions. Together, we are nurturing young minds to appreciate, protect, and conserve our natural heritage.

Through KFEET environmental education programs, children gain hands-on experiences that build a lasting connection with nature.

🐒 Today's score: Monkey 0️⃣ – Monkey-proof Dustbin 1️⃣

Access Denied!
One curious monkey spent several minutes trying to crack open our monkey-proof dustbin but the dustbin won this round😄

These specially designed bins by Plastiki Rafiki help keep wildlife safe by preventing animals from accessing human food waste, promoting healthier habits for both people and wildlife in Karura Forest.

As if that was not enough excitement, another cheeky monkey inspected a nearby fire extinguisher with great interest. We can't confirm it has firefighting credentials yet, but its curiosity certainly impressed us.

Monkeys are intelligent, curious, and always exploring their surroundings. By using wildlife-friendly infrastructure and practising responsible waste disposal, we can continue to share the forest harmoniously with its wild residents.

Through KFEET's environmental education programmes, we encourage visitors to understand and appreciate wildlife behaviour while supporting conservation efforts that benefit both nature and people.

The creativity displayed by our visitors during the exhibition was truly inspiring. Through drawing and colouring activities, children transformed their love for nature into beautiful works of art, reflecting the forests, wildlife, and landscapes that make our environment special.

At KFEET, we use interactive and engaging activities to make environmental education enjoyable, helping children learn about nature while expressing their creativity.

Thank you to all the young artists and families who visited our booth and made the exhibition a memorable learning experience.
