The Answer to Your Prayer Might Be Tied to Your Obedience.

I remember a time during my early employment years ( young, ignorant and unaware), eagerly waiting for a promotion that felt like it was taking forever. Frustration crept in, and instead of remaining diligent, I let resentment take over. I started slacking, showing up late, doing the bare minimum, until one day, in desperation, I cried out, “Why God?''

The answer hit me like a brick: “Because you have not been faithful with what I’ve already given you. Why should I trust you with more?”

That was a wake-up call. And it’s a truth clearly portrayed in the Parable of the Talents (Matthew 25:14-30). The story tells of a master who entrusts his servants with different amounts of money (talents) before going on a journey. When he returns, he evaluates how they managed what was given. The servants who multiplied their talents were rewarded, but the one who buried his out of fear was rebuked.

God expects us to be faithful, whether we have little or much. Faithfulness means showing up and doing what’s right, even when conditions are unfavorable. It means giving your best at work, even when you feel unappreciated. It means showing kindness to those who don’t deserve it, standing firm in your convictions even when it costs you, and taking that first step even when the path ahead is unclear.

Your breakthrough, your promotion, whatever it is you’re praying for, could be waiting on your obedience.

Too often, as Christians, we look at unbelievers who seem to have it all and wonder why. But the truth is, if that unbeliever is putting in the hours, working on self-development, networking, and going above and beyond—while you sit back, waiting for manna to fall from heaven, how can you expect different results?

God does not bless inaction just because you are a Christian. He blesses diligence, stewardship, and the wise use of the talents and opportunities He has given you.

So before you ask, “God, why?” Ask yourself, Have I done everything within my power? Have I made use of every opportunity before me?

Do your part, to the best of your ability, and leave the impossible to God.

Perhaps your answer is waiting on your obedience. Maybe it’s time to take that step. Find out what that is, do it and then thank me later! ☺️ ☺️

This One Thing Could Unlock the Answer to Your Prayer!

Picture the most powerful human being you know, or being in a room filled with powerful men and women from around the world, just like in this picture. The President of the United States is often called the most powerful man on Earth. Ever seen a presidential motorcade? The overwhelming presence of authority? The tight security, the world leaders in a room surrounded by bodyguards? Or imagine walking into the office of the most senior person in your organization. If the president summoned you, how would you feel? 🤔🤔 Some people faint. Some bow. Some are speechless. Others refuse to wash the hand that shook his, or they treasure a signed shirt like it's sacred.

If mere humans inspire such awe, how is it that we don’t accord greater honor to the most powerful being in existence?

God is infinitely mightier than any leader, celebrity, or ruler. No human power comes even a fraction close to His greatness. And yet, many live as if He doesn’t exist, going about life without a second thought.

I’ll be honest, I used to be this person. I believed in God, but I didn’t live with the awareness of His greatness. I gave more weight to the opinions of people than to the commands of the Almighty. But then it hit me, if I can be in awe of human power, how much more should I revere the One who holds the entire universe in His hands? That realization changed everything.

And here’s something even crazier, the people we hold so high? God created them. They are who they are because God allowed it. Think about it 🤔🤔, isn’t that funny?😄😄.We act as if they have the final say, as if their power is self made, but in reality, they wouldn’t exist if not for Him!

If we truly grasped His majesty, His authority, His limitless power, how would that change the way we relate to Him? Would we still hesitate to say No to people when their demands contradict His commands? Would we still live as if pleasing men is more important than fearing God? What would you do, or not do if God were physically in the room with you at all times?

The fear of God isn’t about terror, it’s about reverence. It’s knowing that no human, no matter how influential, can compare to the One who spoke the universe into existence.

What if, for a moment, we saw God for who He truly is? Would that change anything for you? I know it changed everything for me!

Yes, there are many gods, many voices, many religions, a lot of push and pull. So, how do we know which God is real? With all these theories and claims, one truth remains: only one God created everything that exists.

Let’s be honest, people have experienced false teachers, causing them to doubt if God is even real. I’ve seen angry comments on social media from people who abandoned their faith because of something a man or woman of God did or said. I remember a male pastor once telling me after a counseling session that we had to finish the session with a hug, what?? why?😳😳, I took off and never went back to that church. Another time, I was gossiped about and thrown out of a church simply for wearing pants. I should have hated church and all the people in it, but I didn't.

But here’s the truth, people’s actions don’t define who God is. This world is full of evil and corruption, but will you miss heaven because of someone else’s poor choices or deception? Let’s remember that these are human beings just like you and me. The Bible clearly says, "The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?" (Jeremiah 17:9). These false prophets do not reflect who God is, they are human, and that’s why we should never put our faith in a human being but in God alone. Humans are just vessels, but God is the one working behind the scenes.

One of the biggest mistakes we make is relying solely on human beings to experience God, sometimes even treating them like gods. We don’t seek to know God for ourselves. Instead, we believe anyone who claims, "Pay me and you’ll receive your miracle," or worse, those who manipulate others with lies like, "Sleep with me if you want your womb opened," or "Drink this disinfectant to be cleansed and your sins forgiven. But the Bible warns us: "Test every spirit to see whether they are from God" (1 John 4:1-3), and "You will know them by their fruits" (Matthew 7:15-20).

I’ll say this louder,📣📣 the God I know and serve is the REAL DEAL! The God who sent His only Son, Jesus, to die for my sins so that I would not be destroyed. He gave me a second chance. But you can only know Him if you give Him a chance and experience Him personally. But don’t just take my word for it, why should you? I could be lying. But how will you ever know the truth if you don’t try for yourself?

I once heard the story of a young man who was confused by the many voices and religions around him. In the middle of his uncertainty, he decided to challenge God, that if He was real, He would reveal Himself somehow, and give him a sign. And guess what? God did. long story short, his life changed forever.

So here’s my challenge to the skeptics, Test and see for yourself that the Lord is good (Psalm 34:8). Don’t let the noise around you drown out the truth. If God is truly who He says He is, he will do what he says he can do, and isn’t this worth discovering? Don't wait until its too late! 😢😢

I came across a comment that broke my heart. Someone shared how they finally posted about their faith on LinkedIn, and immediately wanted to curl up and die out of fear. Fear of losing opportunities. Fear of being judged.

I get it, because not so long ago, this was me. I felt the exact same way.

We cry out to God in secret for that promotion, that job, for justice in a broken world. We call on Him when things go wrong and even dare to blame Him when life doesn’t make sense. Yet, when it’s time to acknowledge Him publicly, we remain silent. Genesis 6:6 says, "And the Lord regretted that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him to his heart." I can only imagine how it breaks God’s heart that the very children He created with love and care, the same ones who seek Him in private, want nothing to do with Him in public.

But here’s the truth:

The God we’re afraid to mention is the REAL DEAL, the most powerful being in existence. Bigger than any boss, colleague, or social circle. He holds the keys to changing the world. And let’s be honest, do we really like what the world has become without Him?

Those opportunities you are afraid to lose, that promotion, that tender, that job opportunity, finances, He holds the solution to them all. Just like when the fishermen had fished all night and caught nothing, but when Jesus showed up, they had more than enough. The Bible says, "What you lose for My sake, you will gain." There is no contentment when we do anything without God’s stamp and blessings. Galatians 1:10 reminds us, "Do not seek the approval of man but of God." If we want a better future for us and our children, then God is the answer.

God holds us accountable. I am a better person because of answering to God, and I believe He can make the world better if we answer to Him. Imagine a world where we all answered to the standards of God and not our own or the world’s.

Jesus said it plainly: "If you are ashamed of me, I will be ashamed of you" (Luke 9:26). That’s not a light statement. It’s a call to boldness.

I don’t fear people, I fear the One who created me. The One who holds my life and future in His hands. "Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell" (Matthew 10:28).

So, here I am, unapologetic about my faith. Proud to stand tall because I know exactly who God is, who He says I am, and what He can do.

He’s not a side note in my life, He is my LIFE.

If that makes me politically incorrect, so be it. I know the power of God. I’ve seen Him move in ways no human strength ever could. And I won’t hide that truth.
To anyone struggling to share their faith, don’t shrink back. The world doesn’t need more silence. It needs the truth.

I stand for God, because He has always stood for me. And I won’t be ashamed of that.

''One of the biggest indicators of success in the world of oratory is applause—the louder, the longer, the better. When people clap, it means you’ve delivered, you’ve inspired, you’ve nailed it.

But over time, I’ve realized something powerful: applause doesn’t push you forward. It doesn’t challenge you to do better. It doesn’t sharpen your skills. It simply confirms that you’ve already done well. And if you’re not careful, you can start chasing applause instead of growth.

What I’ve learned through experience is that God doesn’t work in applause. He doesn’t guide you through standing ovations or endless praise. He speaks in discipline, challenges, and silence—in the moments when no one is watching, no one is clapping, and you have to rely on your own grit, determination, and faith to keep going'' :- Vusi Thembekwayo
