Hello, Lady Anchored.

Today we pause to rest and worship.

In the rhythm of growth and renewal, God calls us back to something sacred:

“Remember the Sabbath day by keeping it holy. Six days you shall labour and do all your work, but the seventh day is a sabbath to the Lord your God. On it you shall not do any work… For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, but He rested on the seventh day. Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and made it holy.” ~ Exodus 20:8–11

Rest is not an afterthought.
It is intentional.
It is obedience.
It is worship.

Today is a reminder that you are not the source of everything you carry.

God is.

As you attend church or spend time in His presence, allow your heart to be still and your mind to be renewed.

Today, honour the Sabbath.

Rest.
Worship.
Be restored.

Before we begin today, I want to pause and check in.

I’ve seen the reports of flooding across parts of Nairobi, and my heart goes out to everyone who may be affected or navigating difficult conditions today.

If you are in those areas, please take care, stay safe, and prioritise your wellbeing. Know that you are in our thoughts and prayers.

As we move into the weekend, today’s focus is different.

Renewing the mind is not only about confronting thoughts.
It is also about learning to pause, reflect, and care for yourself with intention.

Many women are disciplined in serving others but hesitant when it comes to extending that same care to themselves.

But rest is not weakness.
Reflection is not indulgence.
Self-care is stewardship.

Even Jesus withdrew to quiet places to rest and pray.

Today, I invite you to slow down.

If you have missed any of the previous posts in this journey, this is a good day to catch up and reflect.

Take time to sit with what God may already be revealing to you.

Choose one simple act of care for yourself today:

• Take a quiet walk and pray
• Journal what this week has stirred in you
• Sit in stillness and reflect on God’s grace
• Read the scriptures from the past six days again
• Rest without guilt

This is not about doing more.

It is about creating space for renewal.

Happy New Month!

A new month is not just a change in date.
It is an invitation to renew.

The greatest battles most women fight are not visible.

They happen in the mind.

Before there is burnout, there was a belief.
Before there was fear, there was a thought.
Before there was withdrawal, there was a narrative quietly repeated.

The mind is powerful.
But it is also vulnerable to distortion.

Many high-capacity, faith-filled women are not struggling because they lack prayer.

They are struggling because they have not examined the thoughts shaping their emotions.

Transformation is not accidental.
Renewal is intentional.

Today is not about fixing anything.
It is about noticing.

Before truth can anchor you, you must identify what has been leading you.

1. What thought dominates my quiet moments?
2. What belief about myself have I accepted without examining?
3. When I feel overwhelmed, what narrative is usually underneath it?

Be honest.
Awareness is the first act of courage.

Today, 1st December, would have been my son Matthew’s 9th birthday.
Though he left this world in March 2017, his life continues to shape mine in ways deeper than words.

Through grief, God has built resilience.
Through pain, He birthed purpose.
Through loss, He anchored me.

Today, on Matthew’s birthday, I relaunch The Lady Anchored, a movement born from my journey of heartbreak, healing, and rediscovered purpose.

To every woman who has ever carried silent storms…
To every mother who has felt the sting of loss…
To every heart that knows there must be more…

This is your reminder:
✨ God still restores.
✨ Purpose still rises.
✨ Hope still breathes.

The Lady Anchored exists to help women heal emotionally, rediscover their purpose, and rise boldly in faith, even after life breaks them.

Today, I honour Matthew by stepping fully into the assignment God gave me.
My pain has become purpose.
My loss has become light.
My story is now a bridge for others.
