Talent without Discipline is like an octopus on roller skates. There's plenty of movement, but you never know if it's going forward or backward.

I grew up when we used to set New Years Resolutions...I have not heard of the same for a while.
As I grew older I have come to understand the value and magic of setting goals and seeing them through.
One of my most frustrating moments is when coming to the end of the year and noticing how much has gone unachieved in my goal list.
This year am specifically worried about my Physical Goals, growing older requires that I give myself time for more exercise than ever before. This picture herein represents my life-saving bridge....just in time I have discovered a place to exercise and challenge my body, can you imagine just like that a FREE gym.
What Goals are you putting off as you get preoccupied with the cost implications?? Perhaps like me, you don't have to put off stuff anymore, solutions right in front of us.
Look hard enough, change that perspective, change your outcomes.
When you pursue your God-given dreams, don’t expect approval, support and encouragement from the people around you.
Not everyone understands the magnitude of the dream that God placed on your heart.
Not everyone understands what is fueling your burning desire.
Not everyone clearly sees the picture of the future that God has painted on the canvas of your mind.
Not everyone understands the level of your faith, the depth of your conviction and the clarity of your vision.
If you wait until you get the approval of everyone, then you’ll never get started.
Some people are unsettled by what you are about to do.
Others would rather have you linger longer with them in the confines of their comfort zone.
Not everyone will celebrate your pursuit of greatness.
Heaven is cheering, your future is calling, and your past is pursuing you.
Whom shall you obey; your past, your critics or your creator?
FINISH THE RACE!!!!
The basic facts don't tell the story. John Stephen Akhwari was a marathon runner who represented Tanzania in the marathon in 1968.
He didn't win a medal. In fact, he came nowhere near. But, in defeat and in pain, he came to represent something much more profound and enduring than many sportsmen achieve in illustrious careers.
Akhwari was never likely to win the marathon, but his chances were wrecked when, perhaps because of the effects of the high altitude, he succumbed to cramps that slowed his progress. If that was painful, then worse was to come after he was involved in a melee of athletes jockeying for position.
Akhwari fell to the ground, gashing his knee and also causing a dislocation. He also smashed his shoulder against the pavement. Most observers, seeing his injuries, assumed he would pull out and go to the hospital. Instead, he received medical attention and returned to the track to continue his race.
His pace, of course, was now much lower, but his resolve to complete the event remained intact. Eighteen of the 75 starters had pulled out; he did now wish to add to that number.
And so, more than an hour after the winner, Akhwari crossed the line in last place, cheered home by a few thousand spectators who had remained in the stadium after the sun went down. By the time he reached the stadium, he was limping and the bandage around his leg was flapping in the breeze. He was asked why he'd carried on, and his response has gone down in sporting history.
“My country did not send me 5,000 miles to start the race,” he said. “They sent me 5,000 miles to finish the race.”

It’s no doubt how much Akhwari embraced his purpose. The moment we come to understand our God-Given Purpose nothing will intimidate us, in defeat, in pain, limping, through frustrations, we can manage to keep going till we reach our finish line and lie down saying….I have finished the Race, I have Fought a Good Fight.
Against all odds give yourself a chance to live out your Purpose.
We won't be remembered for what we started but for what we finished. Nora Amdel
Inaction is a trap.....Action is important to please God. My talent is God's gift. Talents are discovered and enhanced through taking action.

If you’re not aware of having a purpose, it’s not because you don’t have one; EVERYONE has. It’s because you’ve never looked for it. It’s lying dormant somewhere in your consciousness, waiting to be revealed.
Great opportunities are not seen with your eyes. They are seen with your mind.
There’s nothing more important than finding a purpose that inspires and motivates you and gives your life meaning and direction.
There’s nothing more soul-destroying than drifting through life with nothing to strive for, no ambitions, no goals. Aimlessness destroys confidence and self-esteem.
When you find what you love to do and put your heart and soul into it, everything changes. Life becomes fulfilling and exciting. If your purpose benefits others as well as yourself, everything, yes, everything falls perfectly into place.
If your motives are sound, happiness and prosperity simply flow towards you; nothing can stop them.
You can't wait until life isn't hard anymore before you decide to be happy. Nightbirde
