IB Day Nairobi, held 19–20 February 2026 at Nairobi Academy, brought schools together to connect, share practices and learn from one another—responding directly to requests from schools at the African Education Festival in 2025.
Day one welcomed non-IB schools to explore the IB mission and flexible curriculum framework during a timely conversation on curriculum transition. We also enjoyed a special performance by Nameless, a well-known Kenyan artist whose daughter is an IB alumnus. Day two featured programme-specific deep dives across the PYP, MYP and DP.
The energy was overwhelmingly positive, with new subject networks forming and momentum building toward the Association of IB Schools of Eastern Africa. Thank you to everyone who made this gathering so special, and we look forward to seeing you at the next event—the African Education Festival, 10–11 April in Johannesburg.
