THE EMPTY BOAT

A monk decides to meditate alone. Away from his monastery, he takes a boat and goes to the middle of the lake, closes his eyes and begins to meditate.

After a few hours of unperturbed silence, he suddenly feels the blow of another boat hitting his. With his eyes still closed, he feels his anger rising and, when he opens his eyes, he is ready to shout at the boatman who dared to disturb his meditation.

But as he opens his eyes and he sees that it is an empty boat, not tied up, floating in the middle of the lake - at that moment, the monk archives self-realisation and understands that anger is within him; simply needs to hit an external object to provoke it.

After the incident, whenever he meets someone who irritates or provokes his anger, he remembers the other person is just an empty boat. Anger is inside him.

There is a little coffee shop, where two people arrive and approached the counter.

“Five coffees please. Two for us and three hanging.”

They paid, they took their two coffees and left.

I asked the waiter. "What’s this about hanging coffees?"

“Wait and you'll see."

Some more people came in.

Two girls asked for a coffee each, they paid & left.

The following order was for seven coffees and it was made by three women - ‘three for them and four hanging coffees.’

I was left wondering...what is the meaning of the hanging coffees, they leave.

Then, a man dressed in worn clothes, who looks like he might be homeless, arrives at the counter and asks sincerely...

“Do you have a coffee hanging?"

“Yes we do, sir.”

They serve him a coffee.... I got my answer.

People pay in advance for a coffee that will be served to whoever can't afford a hot drink.

This tradition started in Naples.

Amazingly, it has spread throughout the world’s cities and towns.

It’s also possible to order not only "hanging coffees" but also a sandwich or a full low cost meal.

Wouldn’t it be great if we could all start doing this in the cities and towns where we live?

Small kindnesses like this can impact so many lives, in ways we could never imagine.

Maybe we should all try it. 😊❤️

Right now there are people in jail due to the phrase "Look at your age mates." Additionally, some have endured loss of dignity and even contracted diseases as a result of this remark. Attending the same school doesn't guarantee simultaneous attainment of employment, marriage, children, or homeownership. Everyone has a different season.

The melting point of gold is 1,064 degrees Celsius, while that of polythene is 120 degrees Celsius. Imagine gold looking down on itself because polythene has melted before it. Be careful so that you don't call this process failure because they look the same. Keep doing the right thing, one day you will ripe sometimes it may not ripe ..

Am coming,
But am formless,
I can't walk Mama,
I will be in a box Mama,
I heard them call it Casket
That they will take care,
Of damages Mama,
We are now damages,

The brakes failed Mama,
Jomba our good driver tried,
Jomba struggled,
Jomba wailed,
Jomba hooted,
Jomba swerved,
We saw him sweat,
It's not him Mama,
But the brakes,

Mama I forgot to tell you this

Mama, you had sold Rose,
Our only cow,
To clear my fees,
Last week,
But the brakes ,
Didn't hear any of that,
Mama you had cleared,
The hostel fee,
You had refilled the gas,
Sadly,

Breathless,lifeless,
