11/05/2018
Tomorrow 12/5/18 is the National Tree planting day. His Excellency President Uhuru Kenyatta will be leading the country to achieve the 10% forest cover before 2022. The theme for this year is "Panda miti, penda Kenya". Currently Kenya's forest cover is around 6.99%. This is so low and the climate change fangs are eminent. While the president will be doing this in Moi Forces Academy Nairobi, the alumni of our giant school Koyonzo high school will be planting over 3000 trees in Kakamega county, Matungu Sub county. The event will start off by planting the trees in the school at 9am and then move on to plant the seedlings at several points in the county. We welcome the alumni of the school to show up in the school and support this course. In attendance will be the Kakamega county representatives, The Kenya Forest Service (KFS) representatives and our able teachers of the school. For more information, get in touch with our leadership:
