๐พ Innovation in action at Lukenya University!
Lukenya University has officially launched its 2026 Food Systems Innovation (FSI) Challenge Projects at the FSI Research Site, Mtito Andei Campus, marking another milestone in our commitment to research-driven solutions for sustainable agriculture and food systems.
The university will be represented at the Food Systems Innovation Challenge Grand Finals, hosted by Wageningen University & Research, Netherlands, by two outstanding student-led innovations:
โ๏ธ Solar Harvest Innovators (Team Lead: Yvonne Chebet) A Solar-Powered Grain Dryer with mobile app integration, designed to improve post-harvest management and reduce crop losses.
๐ฑ Agripro Team (Team Lead: Lawrence Okoti) The BioRegen Tablet, an innovative solution aimed at restoring soil health and enhancing sustainable agricultural productivity.
These projects reflect the creativity, ingenuity, and research excellence of our students as they develop practical solutions to real-world food systems challenges.
Congratulations to both teams, and we wish them every success as they represent Lukenya University and Kenya on the international stage.
