Today the hard-working students of Burhaniya Junior Academy helped tidy up and shelve books at the newly renovated Fatma and Khadija Memorial Library. It won't be long till our doors are open to the public, inshallah!
I would like to offer my sincere gratitude to the administrative team at the Burhaniya Junior Academy and everyone else who helped in getting the library set up in its new home. May God bless you all for all your help and support.

Did you know the our library does more than lend books?
Organised by life coach , we also have monthly social sessions for women that help address common emotional and mental health issues that affect our families and community.
Each session is led by a qualified facilitator and expert in their field.
We have had wonderful feedback from the sessions and we look forward to planning even more.
If you would like to participate in future sessions, please comment INTERESTED below.

We are pleased to resume our author talks with children's author, Sahara Abdi.
Sahara is a writer, a translator and a storyteller. She has authored short stories, contributed to different anthologies, and written three children's books.
Her latest book, My Brother With The Colourful Brain, is a book on Neurodiversity. The narrator is a young girl with endless questions to her mother about her 'different' neurodivergent brother. By writing rhis book, Sahara hopes to create awareness on neurodiversity and increase understanding of it.
Mark your calendars for 7pm EAT this Friday for this informative and entertaining talk!

The library will be closing on 31st March for Ramadhan. Our parent organisation, Donge La Mombasa Welfare Group, will be using this facility to organise food distributions to the community throughout this holy month.
Please return all borrowed books to the library before this date to allow staff to do stock keeping and tidying up.
If you have any questions, please dm us, call or email. Contact links available in the bio.
Wishing you all a peaceful and productive Ramadhan.
