Bio-ethanol is a form of renewable energy that can be produced from agricultural feedstocks. It can be made from very common crops such as sugar cane, potato, cassava and corn and the Safi bio-ethanol is produced from molasses, a bi-product from sugar production.

In order for the CleanFuel bio-ethanol to be safe and not drinkable, it has been denatured and the mixture has been testet and approved by KIRDI (Kenya Industrial Research and Development Institute).
