Did you know that under the Ministry of Education and NHIFs Edu Afya- Health Public Secondary Cover

Your son/daughter has a comprehensive Health Cover (Public Secondary school-Form 1- 4)

This cover includes both Outpatient and In-patient services.
The students can access Oversea Treatment (from INDIA or any other COUNTRY), and you do not have to pay any cent, after Preauthourization.

Out patient benefits include, but are not limited to:
- Medical- Drugs- Optical- Dental- Radiology
- Ct-scan, MRI Oncology and Dialysis

While Inpatient services include:
- admission
- surgeries-etc etc

Your Child can also be admitted to serious hospitals like Mater, Agha-khan Nairobi or any other hospital and access specialists in that cover

Drugs and Substance - Rehabilitation Conselling also in the Cover

You do not need to do Fundraising or Whats app Harambees, for example, recently a student who incurred a bill of 10 million from alliance was assisted to pay everything by the the Ministry of education through the Edu Afya cover.

-In case of Death (i.e where a student dies)- the parents are given 100,000 as the last expense. This applies if your Child died between 2018 ( When the Cover was started) to 2021. Those parents who never applied for last sxpense within this period can still claim the money. ( you only need to take Nemis number Death certificate, and Birth certificate)

Personal Accident- if a child is involved in a an accident the student is supposed to be paid Ksh.400,000
Emergency Evacuation- You can get ambulances, air evacuation for that cover in case of an accident to your child- in that cover

Ensure your child has NEMIS no, and Headmaster has registered your son or daughter and they have the UPI(Unique Person Identifier) number and Student NHIF Number.
