ADDRESSING THE NATURE OF GOD

Last time during our weekly Bible study, Rose asked that we address the subject of God’s triune (Trinitarian) nature. Before we do that, we need to lay the proper foundation.

The first thing we must understand is that no human being, or any created being can fully comprehend God. The finite cannot fully grasp the Infinite.

God is far beyond our thoughts and understanding.

However, He has graciously revealed Himself in Scripture in a way that we can truly know Him, even if we cannot fully comprehend Him.

Before discussing the Trinity, we first need to understand what a person is.

A person is someone who can think, speak, love, choose, and relate to others. A person answers the question “Who?”, not “What?”

A human answers the question, “What are you?” A human being.

A person answers the question, “Who are you?” Isaac, Rachael, Rose, Mary.

With that understanding, we can better understand what the Bible reveals about God.

God is one devine being (“The What”). Yet within that one (what) divine Being are three distinct persons (“The Who’s”); the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

They are not three gods, but one God, same divine nature.

Each Person thinks, speaks, loves, wills, and relates to the others.

The Father is not the Son, the Son is not the Holy Spirit, and the Holy Spirit is not the Father because He reveals Himself differently to His creation manifest.

Therefore, when we speak of the Trinity, we are not saying God is three beings. We are saying God is one devine Being who eternally exists as three distinct Persons: the Father, the Son/Word, and the Holy Spirit.

MiC-Part10 🎙️❤️ A GODLY WIFE BUILDS WHAT GOD HAS JOINED TOGETHER.

From the very beginning, God declared, “It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a helper suitable for him” (Genesis 2:18).

The wife was never created to be an afterthought or a competitor. She was created as God’s perfect complement to her husband, sharing in his calling and strengthening him in fulfilling God’s purpose.

Scripture teaches that husband and wife are one flesh (Genesis 2:24). Paul goes even further, saying, “He who loves his wife loves himself” (Ephesians 5:28), because she is not separate from him but an extension of his own body.

Just as the body responds to and works in harmony with the head, the wife works alongside her husband in unity, bringing strength, wisdom, and balance to the home.

Her role as a helper is not a position of inferiority but of divine purpose.

The Hebrew word ezer used in Genesis 2:18 describes one who comes alongside to strengthen, support, and provide what is needed.

Throughout the Old Testament, the same word is often used of God as the helper of His people, emphasizing strength and indispensable support, not weakness.

A godly wife influences her home through wisdom, faith, and grace. She encourages her husband, nurtures her family, and helps cultivate an atmosphere where God’s presence is welcomed.

The Bible declares:

“The wise woman builds her house, but with her own hands the foolish one tears hers down.” Proverbs 14:1

Building a home is more than constructing a house.

It means establishing a culture of prayer, peace, love, honor, forgiveness, and faith.

A godly wife understands that her words, attitude, and character can either strengthen the foundation of her family or weaken it.

When a husband leads as Christ loves the Church and a wife walks in wisdom as God’s appointed helper, together they become a living picture of Christ and His Church, a marriage that reflects God’s glory to the world.

If you are a wife, ask yourself:
“Am I building my home with wisdom, or allowing my words and actions to weaken what God has entrusted to me?”

A wise wife is one of God’s greatest gifts to a family because her influence extends far beyond the present generation and becomes a legacy of faith for generations.

MiC-Part9 🎙️❤️ A GODLY HUSBAND LEADS BY SERVING REFLECTING CHRIST.

The world’s definition of leadership often focuses on power, authority, and control. But the Bible presents a very different picture of a husband.

A godly husband is not called to dominate his wife but to serve her with humility, lead her with wisdom, and love her sacrificially.

Biblical leadership begins with surrender to Christ. A husband who follows Jesus will lead his family through prayer, integrity, faithfulness, and obedience to God’s Word.

His greatest influence is not found in demanding respect but in living a life worthy of it.

The Apostle Paul writes:

“Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave Himself up for her.” Ephesians 5:25

This is the highest standard of love, a love that sacrifices, protects, provides, encourages, and seeks the spiritual well-being of the family above personal comfort.

Christ didn’t lead by force; He led through service, compassion, and selfless sacrifice. Every husband is called to reflect that same heart in his home.

A godly husband creates an environment where his wife feels valued, heard, safe, and cherished.

He is quick to forgive, slow to anger, faithful in difficult seasons, and intentional about leading his family closer to God.

Leadership is not measured by how many people serve you, but by how faithfully you serve those God has entrusted to your care.

As a believing husband, ask yourself:
Does my leadership reflect the heart of Christ, or the values of the world?

When a husband leads with love, humility, and godliness, he becomes a living example of Christ to his wife, his children, and the generations that follow.
