Late yesterday I had the privilege to attend the TUM gikuyu community meeting where I had a chance to consult with the members of the community over the formation of the greater Mt Kenya Community on the coast. The community has been facing numerous challenges in the coast and more so its youth. Being termed as an alien in your country just that you have changed your cradle locality means something must be formulated to battle for the rights of these citizens who grow the economy of a county they don't enjoy being in. Among the issues is being barred from benefiting from government programmes and also being subjected to bulling in their hood eg robbery even others losing their lives in that line. The formation of the community will foster unity and ideas and pressure as well while pushing for the rights of the people to be upheld to the latter.

Earlier today, I had the privilege of visiting Mr. Macharia, a prominent entrepreneur hailing from the Mount Kenya region and currently based in Mombasa. Mr. Macharia is the proud owner of Mombasa Village Restaurant, strategically situated behind the KRA offices in Mombasa. Following a delightful exchange over a platter of delectable delicacies, we delved into a fruitful discourse centered around the integration of students into his business through internships and career opportunities. Graciously, he assented to this proposal. In my capacity as the Secretary-General, I am committed to disseminating information regarding the challenges faced by our community in securing lucrative job placements and internships for our members. The leadership of our community is resolute in its determination to foster robust relationships that will facilitate the seamless integration of our members into the broader community.

Earlier today, I visited Hon. Crispus Waithaka, the esteemed patron of Ngogoyo Gicuuani. The purpose of my visit was to advance the agenda of strengthening connections with the community, particularly those engaged in business and professional endeavors, for the benefit of the community and the broader Mount Kenya region. During our meeting, we explored strategies to assist our members not only in securing internships and job placements but also in promoting their small businesses and innovative concepts for personal growth. In my capacity as the Secretary-General, I also raised the issue of granting our members access to the group and providing them with memberships to the Ngogoyo Gicuuani association, a request that was duly approved. The community leadership is committed to advocating for improved opportunities for our associates.
