As part of their School Health and Community Diagnosis programme, our Cohort 7 nursing learners visited Kilusu Comprehensive School in Mulot, where they engaged pupils on health education, healthy practices and preventive care.

The programme extends beyond the classroom and into surrounding communities, where our learners identify key health challenges, provide health education and refer individuals who may require further care.

At Legacy College, nursing education is not only about what happens in the classroom it’s about preparing our students to serve, educate and make a meaningful difference in the communities around them. 🩺💙

A quick update from Legacy College 📚🏫

This week, Cohort 7 is putting learning into practice through their Community Diagnosis, engaging with Kileleshwa and Mwangaza communities, as well as Mengit, Kilusu and Kutete Primary Schools.

Meanwhile, Cohort 5 is back at Legacy College for their Block 4 sessions.

They’ll be sitting for their Final Qualifying Exam (FQE) in mid-August, followed by the final NCK Licensing Exam later in the year.

While campus has been busy with classes, practical sessions, and clinical assessments, we’ve also had so much to celebrate.

We are incredibly proud to have achieved a 100% pass rate in the NCK Final Licensure Examinations for Nursing Cohort 3. Earlier this month, our Business Cohort 2 and Tourism Cohort 4 also celebrated 100% pass rates in their final examinations.

As our nursing students return from their clinical placements, it’s inspiring to see the dedication, discipline, and passion that define the Legacy College community.

Meet Faith, a learner from our School of Nursing. 📚

She’s currently reading Stay With Me by Ayọ̀bámi Adébáyọ̀, a powerful novel inspired by the author’s loss of friends to Sickle Cell Disease.

For Faith, the story feels deeply relatable. As a nursing student, it reminds her that behind every diagnosis is a human story that deserves compassion, care, and understanding. 🩺🌍
