Culture is the shared way of life of a group of people.It encompasses the collective beliefs, values, customs, behaviors, arts and knowledge, which are passed down from generation to generation. It acts as a lens through which individuals perceive and interact with the world.

Last week on friday we had our annual cultural week under the theme 'My culture my identity' for our students to allow them showcase their different cultural foods, drinks, dressing code and dances

From obusuma to rech to fufu to pepe to mukimo to muthokoi to muratina to mursik to busaa to mukombero to njugu to kuon to gweno to apoth to rabuon to enkipaji to ng'enda to kangumo to kaluvu to irio to sochot to kimoriat to ingokho etc

It was pomp and color as different cultures took to stage in different dances and dressings. The climax of it was dances from kikuyu, kamba, luhya, kalenjin, Luo, maasai, Nigeria, South Sudan and Zambia

To all those who took part we say thank you as we welcome farmers and students for our upcoming fieldday on 18 and 19th of June

Today we held a requiem mass for the demise of Br. Tony Dolan OSF who was called to enternal rest on Saturday coincidentally on the eve of the Trainsitus of St. Francis of Asisi in Mountbellew motherhouse Ireland.

He served as the principal for Franciscan Brother's Baraka Agricultural College from 1990-2008 and impacted many lives.

He will be laid to rest on 7th Tuesday noon in Brother's cemetery at Mountbellew Ireland.

In God's hands you rest but in our hearts you live forever.

Having been meticulously selected for internship opportunities in Denmark for a period of 18 months, our SARD level 5 students are now applying practical skills in various areas various farms in Denmark and and earning a decent income too.

This program inculcates foreign knowledge and skills in the modern livestock production and new spectrum of research.

Beekeeping/Apiculture is a vital part of the rural economy, especially in arid and semi-arid areas, and is a game-changer for food security. A large proportion of crops in Kenya rely on bees for pollination, highlighting the importance of beekeeping beyond just honey production. The industry also supports livelihoods and offers opportunities for social empowerment, particularly for women and youth.

In a week busy with activities as the bees, we released another colony of well trained 31 beekeepers from Kajiado County sponsored by world vision Kenya having been under an intensive one week general beekeeping training.
The training aimed at equipping them with skills to establish beekeeping enterprises, manage and make profits from apiculture.
