Ura-Gate Primary School

Ura Gate Primary School is in the Meru district of
Northern Kenya (PO Box 2897, Meru, Kenya ) There is little or no formal employment in the
area.

Ura is a hot & dusty region 8 hours drive north-east of
Nairobi just outside the 'Ura Gate' of the magnificent
Meru National Park. The children at Ura Gate Primary
are from very poor families, largely subsistence farmers
who practice simple farming in the shifting cultivation
system.
