Tharaka university practices agriculture by keeping;Bees, fish, poultry, livestock including pigs,ankole cows,,,, green house veges,,,grows mangoes,oranges and lemons,,,we also do horticulture,,, This is in order to enable sustainable food supply in Tharaka Nithi county which is a semi arid as well as the whole nation,,,Many acres of land have been put aside for this,,,

Today we hosted CS Peter munya agriculture,who provided us with seeds and promised to tell his excellency the president to promote Tharaka university college into a full fleged university.

The institution started this project by the faculty department officials and students in order to go as by the climatic conditions of this area
