Root Rot is a Problem!

Too much water in the soil can cause root rot, weakening trees and reducing yields. Watch for these signs:
Yellowing, weak leaves
Wilting, even with enough water
Soft, dark, or decaying roots

How to Prevent Root Rot:
Improve Drainage – Plant on raised beds or ridges or use well- draining soils to avoid waterlogging.
Apply a thin layer of mulch to retain moisture without trapping excess water.
Avoid overwatering, let the soil dry slightly between watering
Compost and manure improve soil structure, promoting healthy roots.
