For the first time in history, we have come together to give back to the school. In a small way yet conspicuously bold step, we collectively started a path toward responsible adults to whom the students can look up.
At one point, we all passed through the school and faced some hardships that even our parents could not tackle.
Here we come giving back to the school in our capacity, not because we have achieved everything or because our buckets are overflowing currently. Neither do we do so because we are forced to help.
We do so because we resonate with the challenges.
We do so because at one point we felt that someone would have been there for us. To resonate with, look up to, support us back-then with our ever-evolving challenges. We do so because it is time to offer what we missed.
This journey has been long. In 2012, some of us came together but we have never been able to proceed beyond resolutions. For the times we failed to show up and be counted as a support framework to the school in the name of giving back, this small achievement is extraordinarily massive to us. We are proud we did it.
Our pride is not only anchored on the success of objective 1 but importantly on the demonstration that this seemingly difficult task is actually possible. The success of the first objective succinctly conveys that through the same spirit, battle, and denial, we will come up massively to support our school.
Herein attached are some of the epics captured during the culmination of the activity dabbed padding girl-child. All the girls, irrespective of their age and level of need, received packets of quality pads that would AT LEAST cushion them from the stress emanating from lack thereof.
Moving forward, you (as an alumni) is encouraged to join hands with the rest. Here there is no superiority. We are all equal under the binding and the tag of Ndigwaism. We can be segregated in terms of the years, but we are one. One team that was shaped by the school and its environment.
We are one united by the spirit of Ndigwaism, bound by passion of excellence in diversity. I am proud to be one and I will continue supporting to the best of my ability. So help me God.
