The Management of NG-CDF is advising all Loima students as follows:

1)That, cheques are readily available for all students.

2)Students outside the County should make arrangements on how they will collect their cheques.

3)The management is no longer facilitating cheques for students outside the county.

Last year, several cheques got lost, which is why students are advised to collect them personally, or send a guardian, or someone they trust to ensure the cheque reaches them safely.

The CDF Office is located in Lodwar, directly opposite the Turkana County Assembly, in a storey building.

LSA MENTORSHIP REPORT,LOIMA GIRLS

On Saturday, 17th Jan, 2026 we Conducted a Mentorship Programme and Pad Drive at Loima Girls Secondary School. Glad to report it was Successful.

Our Gratitudes goes to:

1. The Leadership of LPA, led by Waziri Wangiros and Eloto Justus-LPA SG/Admin, for their immense support and commitment toward the success of this Initiative.

2. All the mentors who accompanied us to Loima Girls for their dedication, time, and willingness to inspire, guide, and motivate the students.

3. The Leadership of the Loima Students Association (LSA) for the cooperation, teamwork, and support throughout the planning and implementation of the programme.

It is important to note that the academic performance of Loima Girls Secondary School remains low. This calls for the urgent attention of the Area MP, MCA, education officers, and other stakeholders to jointly address the challenges affecting performance and help improve learning outcomes.

Thank You All

Good Evening,

LSA in partnership with LPA will be having a Mentorship Programme this Saturday alongside Pad Drive to our Girls at Loima Girls Secondary School.

We have noted our home based secondary schools are not performing to their full potential and that is why we mooted the idea of mentoring girls.

We hope that this initiative may scale our girls performance this year & other subsequent years to come.

Yours,
^SG

Good evening family,

Yesterday, we successfully held our Annual General Meeting (AGM) at Keekorongole Location, Turkwel Ward. The meeting brought together students from various colleges and universities across different wards, creating a platform to openly share the challenges facing our members.

KEY AREAS OF DISCUSSION

1. NGAAF

Members sought clarification on how NGAAF can benefit students, as many are not familiar with the application and distribution process. It was noted that the Office of the Woman Representative receives limited funding, with most allocations directed towards scholarships and development projects.

2. CDF

Concerns were raised regarding the frequent absence of students’ names in the CDF beneficiaries list. Mr. Carlistus Muya advised comrades to always apply for CDF bursaries and ensure all required attachments are submitted, as this increases the chances of support.

3. STATE OF THE ASSOCIATION

The leadership shared an Overview of the current state of the Association, including progress made, existing challenges and the areas that require collective support from members moving forward.

4. REGISTRATION AND MONTHLY SUBSCRIPTIONS

The Association continues to record low monthly subscriptions, which affects the implementation of activities due to limited funds. Members are therefore encouraged to register and consistently pay their monthly subscriptions to support the growth and progress of LSA.

Notable Speakers

Mr. Eloto Justus – Deputy Sub-County Administrator, Loima (Chief Guest)
Mr. Carlistus Muya– Constituency Manager
David Eliokono-Village Administrator
Ali Ekai Michael – Former TUCUSA President and bona fide LSA member
CDF Staff

As the leadership of LSA, we extend our heartfelt appreciation and gratitude to Our Patron and everyone who contributed to the success of this AGM.

Thank you.
