The school is located in Konoin District in Rift Valley province. It is about 10 KM east of Litein Town along Litein-Bomet road
It has 8(standard one to standard 8) classrooms previously built on 0.12 acres piece of land. In 2009 the community purchased adjacent one acre of land where new buildings are currently being built. The total number of pupils is currently 300. The school was construc
ted in 1999, using temporary materials (timber off-cuts). The school structure is extremely modest and in fact very inadequate for schooling, particularly during rainy seasons. During the rains, water flows down the hill and into the school buildings, with the result that the floors of the various classrooms become totally waterlogged and muddy. While declaring Primary Education as free in January 2003, the Government did not bar parents from making contributions towards education. Parents were not required to build new classrooms where these already existed but it was to be their responsibility to improve and refurbish the existing ones. Where facilities are lacking, parents and communities were encouraged to use locally available materials to construct classrooms. In 2008, with the help of Rotary Club of Hurlingham the community, started to seriously thing of expanding the size of the school compound and also the modernizing the facilities. Rotary Club of Hurlingham sought financial support of Rotary Club of Kromboom, SA who through graciously agreed to fund raised for the project from Rotary clubs in Europe. Consequently, the project has received financial support to a tune of Kes 2.7 Million from Rotary Club of Kromboom, RC Orsay(France), RC Eggenfelden-pfarrkirchen(Germany) and RC Hurlingham, Nairobi. The project has also received funding of Kes 800,000 from Consistency Development Fund (CDF) and materials worth Kes 150,000 from Bureti County Council. Apart from purchasing additional land the community have raise Kes 150,000 from their internal resources. The project has also received close to Kes 120,000 from friends of Remmy koech past president of RC Hurlingham and Rotary key contact person for the project
The project is expected to cost Kes 6.5 million or more if the construction duration protracts. The project have received kes 3.4 million from various sources and thus there is a deficit of Kes 3.1 million. Support from well wishers is highly appreciated
