Today marked the end of phase II of a three day training that commenced on Tuesday, 18th August 2026.

A curriculum designed to equip youths with Green agricultural skill; Solar Irrigation system and community engagement soft skills.

The training is funded through the Efficiency for Access program (EforA) with support from the IKEA foundation and the UK government via the Transforming Energy Access platform. It aims to connect rural Kenyan youth with employment opportunities in solar-powered irrigation systems (SPIS) by equipping them with practical, market-relevant skills.

Thirteen (13) electrical graduates have benefited from the program. Now they will proceed to the field for an internship session. A graduation will be organized after a successful 3-month internship elapses.

Kinango TVC appreciates the sponsors and facilitators of the program for consideration and great service to the youths in Kwale.

Today Marked the end of phase 1 training of our 13 graduates training at Davis & Shirtliff Headquarters in Nairobi. The Solar Irrigation Project targeted youths in Kwale and Kirinyaga County. Kinango TVC and Matuga TVC were privileged to participate. The Electrical and Electronics graduates have been taken through the rigorous five-days training focus on the Water pumping system, solar installation and irrigation system.
Thanks to the project stakeholders: Davis & Shirtliff Aga Khan Foundation Center for Law and Social Policy among others for considering Kinango TVC to the program. Looking forward to the second phase of training in two weeks time.

Kinango TVC held a two day workshop on sensitization of IGA for TVET Sustainability. The training was conducted by the State Department for TVET - IGA and Sustainability Unit. Thanks to Wumingu TVC, Taveta TVC, and Mwatate TVC for joining us and making the workshop a success.
