Kwale special school for Mentally challenged is situated at the heart of Kwale town. The school shares fence with Kwale Subcounty general hospital. Within the school are; Units for Autism and Cerebral palsy/physically challenged. It is a full mixed boarding school.we have classes up to Vocational class. The school follows the normal school curriculum but adapted. Apart from classroom teaching, we do extra curricular such as Tailoring, cookery/bakery, capentry and leather work. Games is our favorite. Welcome for benchmarking. Teaching our students social life and Activities of daily living is our first priorities. All our students need is not sympathy but an opportunity. An opportunity to be recognized as part of the society and not framed as "OTHERS" . .inclusion is whatvwe are advocating for not only verbally but through actions.
