We celebrate Andress Muthui Kathunzi, a postgraduate student in the Department of communication media and journalism, on being selected as an Outstanding Student in the GCI Global Program by the Matsuo Lab.

Out of over 7,000 participants globally, only 21 students were recognized, with Andress being the only awardee from Rongo University. The program concluded on 17th December with an in-person session at the Harare Institute of Technology.

This achievement reflects exceptional academic excellence and highlights Rongo University’s growing global presence. We applaud Andress for this remarkable milestone and wish him continued success in future research and innovation opportunities.
