Module II Land Surveying trainees at The Kisumu National Polytechnic are sharpening their technical skills through control survey practicals as part of their formative assessments in preparation for the upcoming summative assessments.

Our Module II Electrical Engineering Technology trainees are gaining practical experience through a hands-on session exploring the effect of solar panel tilt angle and orientation on photovoltaic (PV) output performance.

Using solar PV modules and multimeters, the trainees tested different tilt angles (15°, 33°, and 70°) and panel orientations, measured voltage and current output, recorded performance data, and identified the most efficient positioning for maximum solar energy harvesting.

This competency-based training equips trainees with essential skills in solar PV installation, testing, measurement, and system optimization—key competencies for the rapidly expanding renewable energy sector.

Assessment Tools Development and Validation Exercise Underway
