Congratulations to Mark Kimutai for his outstanding leadership and dedication to SCORE!
Key achievements include:
-Opened the call for the Flagship Research Project for the 2026/2027 IFMSA exchange season.
-Represented SCORE in person at the MSAKE Capacity Building Event held at Kenyatta University.
-Conducted a webinar on “Research as a Medical Student” for LC members.
Introduced the NIH-IPPCR course to LC members, expanding access to research training opportunities.
-Launched a new customised logo for SCORE–MKUMSA, strengthening the committee’s identity.

🌟 Owl of the Month: Wallace Chege – LORE UoN 🌟
Congratulations to Wallace Chege for outstanding dedication and impact in research and academic leadership!

Wallace played a key role in the planning and implementation of the EAJNS Peer Review Training Bootcamp, with SCORE as a collaborating partner. He also successfully organized the University of Nairobi Research Training Workshop, strengthening research capacity among peers.

He is currently leading two impressive research projects:
-Anatomy of the Caroticoclinoid Foramen and Bar in a Kenyan Population – an autopsy-based study (data collection ongoing).
-“KuSAIDIA” – a Swahili-based BEFAST tool aimed at enhancing stroke literacy in East Africa (submitted for publication).
